IP Ratings per EN60529

EN 60529 is the international classification system that defines effectiveness of electronics enclosures against the intrusion of foreign bodies (i.e. tools, dust, fingers) and moisture. This classification system utilizes the letters "IP" ("Ingress Protection") followed by two digits (typically). The first digit, 6, designates that the enclosure is sealed to protect from any ingress of dust, the 2nd digit determins the level of protection from water as follows:
