PowerGate is proud to release the Cherokee CAR2500 Family of +12V / +48 VDC Front Ends and -54 VDC Rectifiers offering 2.5kW of Power in an industry-leading high density package of only 14.25 x 4.00 x 1.65" with optional 4-Bay Rack for up to 10kW of power in a 19" / 1U profile.

With an unprecedented power density of 27W/in3 and an efficiency of 92 percent, the CAR2500 Family is the industry-leading front-end / rectifier power solution.  An onboard microcontroller allows more accurate temperature, current, and voltage sensing while supporting interfaces such as I2C, PMBus, and Ethernet protocols. Measuring only 1.61 x 4.00 x 14.25", the CAR2500 Family operates on high line AC (180~264 VAC) and offers a standby voltage of either 3.3V or 5V at 1A.  A thermally controlled fan enables -10 degrees Celsius (C) to +70C operation with a -40C startup. Additional features include hot-swap redundancy, active single-wire current sharing, output voltage programming, current readout, remote on/off and front plate LEDs. Protection features include input over and under voltage, output over voltage, over temperature and over current. A supporting power shelf offers scalability up to 10,000W with full hot-swap / redundant functions.
